Listing details
Dylan J Hartmann is a NAATI-certified Thai to English Translator and the founder of AcudocX. With a Master of Studies from ANU, Dylan specialises in life sciences, legal and mining translations, and was a full-time professional translator, handling over 1 million words annually, years before returning to Australia and becoming NAATI-certified. Dylan identified an opportunity to streamline the certified personal document translation process with an accessible mobile-friendly platform that reshapes how we handle personal document translations. AcudocX is an innovative mobile-friendly platform that works as a complete translation business management solution, allowing both freelancers and agencies (LSPs) to deliver extract and template-based translations in a streamlined and efficient manner. AcudocX helps reduce the amount of time required for each translation task, avoiding any manual time-consuming over-communication between customers and translators, and it reduces administrative involvement so that customers can receive their documents sooner. Other benefits: AcudocX is completely free of charge for LSPs, customers can complete the entire process by phone, LSPs set and control their own pricing, and the system integrates with personal accounting systems. As the translation industry’s first customer-centric workflow, AcudocX empowers customers by giving them the ability to fill in their own basic information into extract translation forms, guiding them through the selection of relevant fields (shown in both bilingual texts) to translate into English with ease, further enabling improvements to job efficiency. The translator’s job is to verify the accuracy of the customer’s data, which is displayed side by side with the source, and then certify and deliver the final translation with the click of a button. Dylan is an AUSIT member, a mentor and moderator on ProZ.com, and an award-winning literary translator. Dylan is also the founder of the Australian Translators and Interpreters Space on Facebook and welcomes all new members. Born in South Australia and growing up between Nimbin, NSW and Chiang Mai, Thailand, Dylan spent his life moving between different surroundings, cultures and climates and is happy to advise on cultural or commercial matters to do with Thailand. Finally, Dylan also handles localizations from US English to Australian English for big-name tech, pharma and commercial enterprises.
